WARNING: Recent Scam Involving the Issuance of a Fictitious Arrest Warrant and Request for Money to Avoid Arrest

There is a report of a new scam involving federal court.  A fictitious arrest warrant on a criminal charge is sent to an individual, offering a chance to avoid arrest through the payment of a specific amount of money.  Anyone suspecting a fraudulent call regarding an arrest warrant and a request for money to avoid arrest in the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia should contact the Clerk's Office at 304-232-0011 and report the call.
